Whole Wheat Waffles

This was a great waffle recipe that I have made and already froze!  They are great fresh and reheated!  I like that it is a simple recipe with a great taste.  It is also a great base recipe that you can add lots of other fun things to such as: sweet potatoes, applesauce, banana etc :)

I found the recipe at :http://extraordinaryordinarylife.blogspot.com  Please be sure to visit her site as a nice thank you!  She has many great things on her site!  I am in love with everything!  Her site is a breath of fresh air!  Check out her freezer cooking section!

Here is the recipe that I adapted from her site:
Whole Wheat Waffles

2 large eggs
2 cups whole wheat flour (or you could use all purpose or mill your own!)
1 3/4 cups milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter or melted coconut oil
1 T sugar
4 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1 ripe banana

1.  Heat waffle iron.
2.  In large bowl, beat eggs with wire wisk until fluffly.  Beat in remaining ingredients until smooth.
3.  Pour slightly less than 3/4 cup batter onto the center of hot waffle iron.  (Check manufacturer's instructions for recommended amount of batter).  Close lid of waffle iron.
4.  Bake per manufacturer's instructions.  Thankfully for me, the light turns green when ready  LOL

Check out her post here, for tips on freezing your waffles!
