This year I set out to make at least one new learning activity each week for either Toddler Veg or Preschool Veg. This week we created Valentine Sensory boxes. I do plan to make more themed boxes as well! The kids played with this for 1 hour and 45 minutes STRAIGHT...no joke, I had to cut them off and they beg each day to play with it. Who knew? I call that a success! I used a plastic container with a lid and filled it about half way with clean rice and put some Valentine themed items in it. The boys loved it. They talked about colors, shapes, sizes and textures. They were in love with the hearts that opened and they could use them as scoops!
