It is very important when you are on a budget, trying to buy items on sale and trying to save some money to keep a price list. If you know the prices of the items you frequently buy, you are ahead of the game! It is a good idea to start a price list. You can choose a book/journal or a simple piece of paper. :) On your price list, list items that you frequently buy and list the price you pay for them. For example, I like Charmin Ultra Toilet paper. I know that Kroger sells a 12 Big Roll Pack for $6.99. However, with a coupon and a sale I got the same product at Meijer for $4.99. The point of your price list is to know if the sale/coupon you are using is really getting you a deal! It can really make a difference! Another example is Similac liquid baby formula. I can buy a liquid container at Target for over $5, at Kroger for $4 and at Meijer for $3. (I rounded those prices). All stores have their price points! Use your price list to know if you are getting a good deal and if its time to stockpile that item!
