This recipe is for chewy granola bars or you can make loose granola.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups, old fashioned oats
- 3/4 c molasses granules
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- 1/2 c raisins or other dried fruit
- 3/4 c melted coconut oil
- 1/3 cup honey or agave
- 1 t vanilla
- 1/2 c freshly milled soft wheat flour
- 1/2 cup walnut pieces
- 1/2 cup pecan pieces
Instructions:
- Mill 1/3 cup of soft wheat to make 1/2 cup flour (or use premade flour)
- In bowl combine all dry ingredients.
- In saucepan combine coconut oil, honey and vanilla until melted. Do not boil,
- Mix dry and wet ingredients, by hand.
- Press mixture into greased 9X13 pan.
- Bake in oven at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and press mixture back into pan with back of spatula.
- Partially cool, about 1/2 hour before cutting.
- Let bars cool completely before removing from pan.
Yields 24 bars
